Hi, I'm Mol
My Story
I've loved drawing for as long as I can remember, but it was always just something I did for fun in my spare time. After finishing my A-Level in Graphics with an A*, I knew architectural drawing was where my passion really lay.
I started drawing more seriously during a difficult time, when I noticed my mental health beginning to decline. I found it gave me an escape, so I put more and more time into it. Over time, I realised the drawings I was creating were something people might genuinely want in their own homes, and MadeByMolUK was born. From the start, I decided all proceeds would go to the mental health charity MIND, so that other people struggling the way I had could get the support they needed. Today I donate 20% of all profits to MIND, and the business has grown to include digitally drawn travel prints, hand-painted greetings cards, and bespoke commissions.

How I Create Each Piece
Every greetings card starts as a hand-painted design, which I scan in and turn into a keepsake card — I've always believed a picture paints a thousand words, and I love that each one begins as a real, physical piece of art. My architectural drawings are completed entirely by hand, in graphite pencil or fineliner pen, while my travel prints are drawn digitally on my iPad.
I have a particular love for drawing North East landmarks, since that's where I'm from, and I love the culture and friendly feeling of this part of the world. I wanted to capture that through my art. But I didn't want to close the door on anywhere else, because that same sense of warmth and belonging exists in other places too, and I love finding ways to show it through my work.
